Who we are

Verzendo B.V. is the controller for the personal data described in this policy, unless we process data on behalf of a webshop that uses our platform. In that case the webshop is the controller and we act as processor under a data processing agreement.

Data we process

• Account data: name, business email, phone number, company details and login credentials.
• Shipment data: recipient name, address, email, phone number, parcel details and delivery preferences.
• Billing data: invoicing details, VAT number and payment history.
• Usage data: pages visited, features used, device and browser information, IP address.
• Support data: messages, call notes and attachments you share with our support team.

Why we process it

• To create labels, hand parcels over to carriers and deliver track & trace notifications.
• To provide, secure and improve the platform and prevent fraud or misuse.
• To invoice shipments and manage our customer relationship.
• To send service messages and, with your consent, product and marketing updates.
• To comply with legal obligations such as tax and customs requirements.

Legal grounds

We rely on performance of a contract for account and shipment processing, legitimate interest for platform security and product improvement, consent for marketing communication and non-essential cookies, and legal obligation for financial and customs records.

Sharing with third parties

We share data with carriers to deliver parcels, with the platforms you connect to import orders, and with service providers for hosting, email delivery, payments and support tooling. These providers may only process data on our instructions.

Where data leaves the European Economic Area we use European Commission standard contractual clauses combined with additional safeguards.

Retention

Shipment data is kept for as long as needed to handle deliveries, claims and returns, and afterwards for the periods required by carriers and tax law. Account data is deleted after your contract ends, minus the records we must retain by law. Financial records are kept for seven years.

Your rights

Send your request to privacy@verzendo.com. You can also lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority.

• Access a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
• Correct data that is inaccurate or incomplete.
• Ask us to delete data we no longer need.
• Object to or restrict certain processing activities.
• Receive your data in a portable format.
• Withdraw consent for marketing or cookies at any time.

Security

We use encryption in transit, role-based access control, logging and regular backups. Access to production data is limited to employees who need it for their work.

Changes to this policy

We update this policy when our services or obligations change. Material changes are announced in the platform or by email before they take effect.
